Jimmy Lee 李展翹 (b.1993), MFA (dist.), is a photography lecturer, PhD candidate, visual art practitioner and documentary photographer. Lee's photographic practice concerns the ideology of the Hong Kong people, colonial history, collective memory and trauma. He currently undertakes his Ph.D. at University for the Creative Arts, partnered with the University of Arts, London. His doctoral research focuses on the aftermath of political conflicts in Hong Kong, cultural feelings, representation of trauma and photographic practice. In addition, Lee sets out to discover the possibility of documentary photography, expand its horizons, and work with projects that convey his interests.
