Beyond the current practice depicts the relationship between intimacy and public space. This series of images were made in public spaces that had sexual intercourse before — the spotlight is a metaphor for the imagination of the past, which explores diachronic and spatial experience.

To some extent, the nature of photography is “recording” or “documenting” the has-had-been. I extend this concept to a social context which is about public sex in Hong Kong. I wonder what the reason for all these intimate actions that happened in public. Is it just because of enthusiasm or lack of space?

Interestingly, the spotlight seems to offer a way to imagine the past. I am keen to know the moment that passed in order to get some inspiration for the future. When I completed the project, no answer was found, but I got a glimpse of love and youth.
